Education
I have a fetac Level 5 certification which qualifies me to teach children under the age of 6 in my home country. I have one semester of college as an English major in Ireland, and I am currently finishing up my second semester of full time education at Hillsborough community college studying Education. I will have completed 36 credit hours of my associates degree with a 3.78 GPA,
Experience
I have no formal tutoring experience, but I have been a nanny for two years, and have taught my charge how to read, write and do math, and he is only 4 years old. I am an education major with a certificate in childcare that enables me to teach in a daycare environment or be a teachers aide in my home country. I have experience with both the montessori and high scope method of teaching, as well as the more formal method used by schools. I am highly enthusiastic about teaching, and believe the route to success is not what you know, but how willing you are to learn what you do not. I have competed 9 credits of college level English at HCC, and 4 classes as an English Major at the National University of Ireland Maynooth, including poetry. I have completed 2 philosophy classes as part of my degree and obtained A's in both. I hope to transfer to USF as part of their tuition waiver program so I will not have to oay out of state tuition after I finish with my associates degree. I am also a member of the honors college. In my time at HCC I have been a dedicated student, and received A's in all but one of my subjects, and I want to bring that same dedication to your sons, daughters, or even your education. I have 8 years of playing music in a brass band in my home country, I have grade 4 in Music theory when applying the Guildhall school of Music qualifications as measure, and am qualified to teach your child the elementary ideas of Music, how to read it, and in the case of a brass instrument or a recorder, how to play it.

Hobbies
I love to read, and will pretty much read anything, I love fiction, biographies, fantasy, science fiction, and I love period books especially Jane Austen. I love to listen to music, and have a fairly eclectic taste in music. I love going to the movies, it doesn't even matter what I go to see, I just really like the whole experience of seeing a movie. I also love to play music. I have previously been in a brass band and I am anxious to get back to that, practicing to get back to form is a large undertaking. I love going to concerts, and plays, and I especially love musicals so it is great that there are so many wonderful theaters in Tampa Bay, and it;s surrounding areas.
